PHFS Serves

Disadvantaged families with dependent children who live in part of the Parramatta and Holroyd Local Government Areas, with priority on families with children 12 years and under; including adolescent parents with children.

PHFS Mission

Parramatta/Holroyd Family Support Inc. is engaged with encouraging and developing positive relationships within families and promoting environments which value, nurture and protect children.  To accomplish this PHFS will :

• Provide sustained home visiting and casework to families
• Provide information, referral and supported access to other services as needed by parents, children and families
• Provide groups that help parents increase their knowledge and skills to carry out their roles as parents (e.g. Parenting, Young Parent Groups, Healthy Relationships, Communication, Self Esteem)

• Provide supportive playgroup/s for families
• Provide advocacy for children and families
• Role model positive parenting relationships and care giving practices
• Provide court support for families using the service
• Provide group programs for children to build skills and confidence
• Work in partnership with other services to meet the needs of children and families

Transport for Groups

Limited spaces on the mini bus are available therefore if you require transport to attend groups please let our staff know in advance.

Childcare during Groups

Limited spaces are available for childcare, therefore if you require childcare during group please let our staff know in advance.
